Seriously, the Kerrs of GB creep me out. NFW I'm going to wrap my legs around my brother's waist while wearing cut off denim microshorts and a cropped shirt and belly button jewelry. I don't care that the routine was good and dynamic and exciting. They're sibs, for gods' sake.

Yeah, I'll take Charlie White any day over that.

*not a literal transcription, but a slightly abbreviated though very close paraphrasing of our bedtime conversation with Charlie this evening.

Me: ... and Neptune and Uranus are the furthest planets. They are cold and dark and very far away.

Char: I don't want to go there.

Me: No, we wouldn't want to go there. It would be too cold.

George: And It would take too long.

*conversation ensues about the time it takes to travel among planets.*

Char: I want to go past all the planets and to all the suns, and to see other planets.

Me: That's called interstellar travel, and it would take a really long time. The only people can currently do that are in science fiction stories.

George: Fiction means a made up story.

Char: Like in a book?

Me: Yes, a book or a movie or a TV show.

Charlie: Like Super Cat?

Me: I don't know about Super Cat. Where did you hear about him?

Char: He's a super cat, and he solves mysteries.

Me: Yes, that sounds interesting, but when did you hear about him?

Char: 54 years ago.

Me: Ok, where were you when you heard about him? Was he on TV?

Char: No, he was in a book.

Me: Where did you read the book?

Char: At my home.

Me: *light dawns*

Me: Ooh, I get it. (to George) Have you figured it out yet?

George: No.

Me: Super Cat. The Science book called "Does a Cat Really Have Nine Lives?" It has a cat on the cover, wearing a super hero costume. It has all those little science questions in it.

George: Ooh.

*conversation ensues about the difference between fiction and non-fiction, and how they can both be stories in books.
